Hello,

is it possible to add a C compiled process to the end of boot sequence on the Gnd Pi which runs until shutdown/reboot [50 iter/sec]? If so how? Process in question access USB joysticks and buttons and puts out ppm on a GPIO (to a radio).

Sorry for the wait, this forum isn’t that active anymore, since most poeple use telegram or discord now.

You can run anything in the background on the pi, just shouldn’t use a lot of power and can’t do anything with encode/decode.

we can’t really output ppm or something, the pi is not made for such tasks. You should use a radio for these advanced functions.

Thanks for the reply. I already have it working very well with 8 channels of ppm from two USB game controllers out to the trainer port of an OpenTx, but this on a lone Rpi. I was concerned in using it on the Gnd Pi instead as the ppm is via pigpio wave in C and uses interrupts down to the uS, so certainly not background. My next question will be on discord (can’t use telegram, I don’t have a cell phone…)
