The pi 5 BCM2712 doesn’t have the hardware video encoder that all the previous versions had. I don’t think you’ll be able to use it with openHD. Atleast not with decent rates. Devs might be able to figure out a way to do it without hardware encoding
Sadly, with the removal of the Encoder and Decoder, it’s not worth the effort at all. Latency is higher then on the pi4. They also changed the GPU and the rendering drivers, which means, that low latency rendering is also not possible anymore. Basically, it’s not worth it.
Meaning, there will be no support for Rapsberry Pi5 and no amount of clever programming will help us there. Even in ideal cases, we’re talking about double the latency.
