Remote groundstation over ip

Hi all; i’ve had a little look around the forums and i’m fairly confident my planned setup will work but would like to confirm with more experienced heads.
I’m on a farm in the UK, and am looking to setup a radio link allowing use of ground and air vehicles across the farm from comfort indoors. I plan to use an rpi4 mounted up a telegraph pole in our yard as “ground” and connect this to ethernet so I can use Mission Planner or similar from a PC indoors.

Firstly, is this a viable setup, does OpenHD allow me to remotely manage the ground pi to an extent I can leave it up a pole?
Secondly, can anyone see a problem using a PoE breakout and BEC to power the ground pi?

TIA, and if this is in the wrong place or otherwise please tell me.
