Hi, I was wondering, it it would be possible to support the onboard embedded wifi adapter of rpi zero, CM, ā¦ directly? This would allow to save extra weight for adapters etc. and allow a much easier hardware setup esp. for small drones with limited space And of course it saves money and makes it easier for newbies to play with OpenHD.
For my understanding, wifibroadcast like OpenHD needs wifi monitor and injection mode? While Iām not a expert, there seem to be various established projects which unlock this feature to the onboard wifi adapter of the RPI SoCs?
- GitHub - aircrack-ng/rtl8812au: RTL8812AU/21AU and RTL8814AU driver with monitor mode and frame injection
- GitHub - seemoo-lab/nexmon: The C-based Firmware Patching Framework for Broadcom/Cypress WiFi Chips that enables Monitor Mode, Frame Injection and much more
So what do you think, would this be usefull at least for the mobile pi?
